When we first blogged about them back in December 2008, we could have had no idea how big a year 2009 was going to be for Tonstartssbandht. In the past year, the band, composed of the White brothers, Eddy and Andy, have released two critically-acclaimed records, An When and Dick Nights, and they’ve received the snowball hype of the blogosphere that has come to be the sure sign of a band about to break, making many “Best of 2009” lists.
VKR was psyched to get the chance to record Tonstartssbandht when they were rolling through our woods en route to play a show at Bard with Ultra Thin. The show was canceled and the White bros gave 125% to this radio session. Michael Jackson’s message may be “love” and Eddy and Andy’s is just as simple– “fun.” Enjoy.
